Disabling Email Notifications from Moodle
Moodle tends to disseminate a lot of emails to both Lecturers and Students as this is its way of notifying those enrolled of any changes to the courses, as well as actions taken by the respective user. It is a normal behaviour for Moodle, especially since Moodle 2024/2025, which supplies a lot more emails than previous versions. If you wish to disable any of the email notifications received:
navigate to Preferences by clicking on your profile icon found in the top-right corner.
Click on the link for Notification preferences
You will be presented with a list of actions taken in Moodle that would trigger a notification to you through the following mediums: Web, Email, Mobile. Each action has three switches, each corresponding to one of the mediums. Some switches will be greyed out as they would not apply to your role. For those not greyed out, you can turn on/off.
