Important.
Please note that due to frequent issues of students being included in course(s) marksheet(s) whilst not being in an active state (due to one reason or another), the interface has been updated to include a checkbox for the lecturer, HOD, Dean and Assistant Registrar (Exams) to acknowledge the grades of students that are not in an active state at the time of the submission and/or approval of their grades.
Also note that this checkbox only appears when a student(s) that is not in an active state at the time of submission and approval of grades is included in a marksheet.

MARKSHEET UPLOAD IN MOODLE FORMAT
Kindly see below some further information relating to marksheet upload in Moodle format:
all the existing information (assessment structures and grades, if any) are erased
the system detects the assessment components from the column headings of Moodle gradebook, and the assessment structures are created afresh
a screenshot assessment structure immediately after one such upload (Moodle format) is shown below. As you can see, all the entries are created as Is a Course Work Component = No, which means no marks are shown to students by default after the Moodle gradebook is uploaded.
kindly also note that the Maximum scores (raw and scaled) are shown as a default value of 1. This is because we cannot glean those pieces of information for any assessment from the Moodle gradebook.
After that, the lecturer can edit the assessment components one by one.
as stated in the original email, students get to see the marks information only for course work components. Therefore the lecturer can change the Is a Course Work Component flag once he / she is sure of the accuracy of marks.
