Decline/Withdraw Feature

This feature is available under the Status tab of a student's application and is accessible to both staff and students.

Students and staff can:

  • Decline an offer once it has been approved by ARA.

  • Withdraw an application if no active offer exists.

If a student has an ARA-approved offer, the screen will display the options shown in the screenshot below.

When the user clicks the "Click here to accept or decline offer" link, they are redirected to the page shown in the screenshot below. This page presents the following options:

  • Accept Offer

  • Decline Offer

  • Withdraw Application

For both the Decline Offer and Withdraw Application options, the user is required to provide a reason for their decision.

If the student does not have an ARA-approved offer, only the Withdraw Application option is available to both the student and staff.

A user may decline an offer while waiting for other offers—if any—to be approved by ARA, up until they accept one.

If a student wishes to reverse a declined offer, ARA staff can revert this status under the Status tab, as shown in the image below.

If a user withdraws their application, no further processing will occur unless it is reinstated by ARA. This functionality is also available to staff. Once reinstated, the application returns to the state it was in prior to being withdrawn.
