Initial Email to Voters

The initial email to voters will contain a unique link for the ballot. No two persons will get the same link. A voter should expect:

If you do not see the email in your inbox by 10:15 am on election day, it may be in your spam/junk folder.

To reduce the chances of the email going to your spam/junk folder, you can whitelist the email address, invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com, in your mailing provider’s settings. The email address would need to be whitelisted before 10:00 am on election day. Kindly see the instructions below for Google, Outlook, Yahoo:

Gmail:

  1. Login to Gmail, click on the gear icon and select "Settings":

  2. Select "Filters and blocked addresses":

  3. Scroll past all your existing filters and select "Create a new filter":

  4. Add the email address that you want to whitelist to the "From" field. In this case, it is invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com.

  5. Check the "Never send to spam" box and click "Create Filter". The email address will now be whitelisted!

Outlook:

To add people to your Safe Senders List, do the following:

  1. On the Home tab, click Junk, and then click Junk E-mail Options.

  2. On the Safe Senders tab, check the Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List box.

Yahoo:

  1. Open Yahoo Mail and select Settings

  2. Select Filters and Add

  3. Name the filter and add the sender’s email address. In this case, it is invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com

  4. Select to send all mail to Inbox

  5. Select Save and Save

You can also check your spam folder and mark any emails from recognized senders as ‘Not Spam’. This will send those emails to your inbox from now on.
