Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - UGH1101

What do I do when I receive the URL (link)?

Check your email for a mail entitled “University of Guyana Moodle (Short Courses): New user account”. In this mail you will receive login instructions so that you can enter the site.

Please also check any old emails you may have if it is not in your current one.

If you would have done a short course with the University prior then your previous account should still be available (the password should remain the same).

 

What if I did not receive any email with login instructions?
You can login to your Current Students account on SRMS and manually register through the ‘Human Relations Course’ link shown below.

 

What do I do after I log in?

You click on the course UGH1101 - Human Relations (0 credits) - 2023/2024 Cohort 10 (Students).

 

What do I do after I access the course?

You click on the landing page, read the general announcements, and look at the Chancellor’s video.

 

What do I do after I have viewed the Chancellor’s video?

You look for the first Module: Gender and Social Justice and read the instructions on it.

 

After reading the instructions, what do I do?

You complete the first pre-test by clicking on the link. You submit your responses. You ensure that you have checked the notification box that you have completed the pre-test.

 

After I have completed the pre-test, what do I do?

You click on the link for the video and look at the video. Once you have completed viewing the video, check the notification button for the video. You are ready to complete the post-test.

 

After I have viewed the video, what do I do?

You ensure that you have checked the notification box and click on the link for the post-test.

 

After I have completed the post-test, what do I do?

You ensure that you have checked the notification box indicating that you have completed the post-test.

 

After I have done this for the first module, what do I do?
You go through the same procedure ensuring that you complete the pre-test, then video then post-test. Repeat this for all 8 modules.

Can I fail this course?
No, this is not a graded course.

 

Will I be receiving a certificate to show that I have completed it?
Yes. Once you have completed all 8 modules of the course, an official certificate will become available to you.

 

How can I reset my password?
On the login page (https://moodle-courses.uog.edu.gy/ugcourses) – you will be able to reset your password if you have forgotten it.
